Ron Paul entered the race today, as a Republican. The latest polls show Rudy Giuliani the clear leader in the Republican Party and Hillary Clinton the frontrunner with the Democrats. We don't see that changing much because of money. Giuliani and Clinton seem to be raising the kind of money to be able to maintain their leads right through their respective conventions. Ron Paul does not have a chance in this race, but we look forward to listening to his ideas.
Conventional wisdom has the next president being a Democrat. But we don't believe it. Although Hillary Clinton is probably going to win the nomination of her party, we feel the election is going to be won by Rudy Giuliani. Americans are still pissed off about 9/11. We are united against terror, and Giuliani has even come out against negotiating with Iran. Its too bad we did not focus more on the War in Afghanistan and hunting down and killing Osama bin Laden. The war planners are already planning our exit strategy in Iraq, if the new surge plan does not work. A resurgence of the Taliban is the last thing we need now. We hope that any failures in Iraq will not stop us from doing the job that needs to be done in Afghanistan.
Hillary Clinton will win her party's nomination because of her full campaign coffers, superior organization and strength of support amongst her followers. The same can be said of Mayor Giuliani. But when the general election rolls around, Rudy will get the nod. He had a messy divorce, but no one of us is perfect. The last three presidents were Bush, Clinton, Bush. With 300 million Americans you would think the next president would have a different last name. The Bush and Clinton political dynasties will end with our current president, the American people will see to that.
The only viable candidate with executive experience for the Democrats is Bill Richardson. We think he would make a good President. But its going to be hard for him to raise the kind of money Hillary Clinton can. And he needs to do that to break into the top tier. Its interesting to note that the last Democratic president who was a sitting US Senator was John F. Kennedy, and he barely won, without the kind of political baggage and negatives that Senator Clinton has.
Senator Clinton has been a lawyer, a first lady and a US senator. But the Presidency is an executive position, and for that Rudy Giuliani is more qualified. Mitt Romney is an attractive candidate, with good credentials as the governor of Massachussetts. But he does not have the same emotional appeal Rudy Giuliani has. And ugly as it is, a good number of Americans hold it against him that he is a Mormon. Governor Romney would make an excellent choice for vice-president.
Barack Obama has no real executive experience either, and not much experience in national politics. Seems like he was just a state senator just over two years ago. He is a very attractive candidate with an unfortunate name. But he would be a great choice for vice-president - a job that would allow him to get more experience. Senator McCain has no chance in this election. Although he gets good poll numbers, and is an American hero like Rudy Giuliani; he does not have that strong emotional appeal that is felt by most Americans to Rudy. Rudy is truly America's Mayor.
To the other candidates we have not mentioned, we would advise them to save their time and their followers money. We are not endorsing any candidate, just making a projection based on current trends we see today. We project the race to be between Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani, with Giuliani winning it and becoming the 44th President of the United States. As always, your comments are welcome.

I think that if Clinton does win the nomination you are correct....we'll end up with a Republican president.
Believe it or not I think Obama might be able to squeak through for various reasons if he wins the nomination. Slim odds but I could see it happening.
Richardson really is our only shot at beating Giuliani but as you said, unlikely to get the nomination. He could win a national election. Naturally he'll get no love from "the base".
One other factor: Hagel. Long odds but if he ran independant it would split the conservative vote.
That Nevada poll was sure revealing, showing Obama as strongest Democrat (by far).
BTW, I think it's easy to understand why people overlook Obama's executive experience (running community organizing projects in south side of Chicago).
Not as dramatic as walking down the streets of Manhatten as the towers are falling, sure, but still it's executive experience (which is more than ole Abe Lincoln had, btw).
The NYFD's feelings towards Guiliani is a serious liability for his campaign. Probably a fatal one.
Hillary Clinton lost the race for the nomination TODAY. "The vast right wing conspiracy is back."
Probably one of the most serious campaign boo-boos I've seen in 56 years of living on this planet.
