No More Posts For Awhile - We Got to Work and We Do The Unthinkable, We Delete a Stupid Post

There is some excellent political blogging going on here in Nevada. When we want a political information fix, we now know where to go. Because of work committments this blog will not be updated for awhile, if at all. We will keep it online though in case anyone wants to use the links. We were told to be outrageous, if you want to be read. So we did a satire on Osama bin Laden and Rudy Giuliani, only because Osama's 50th birthday was on the same day as Rudy's visit to Reno. Reading it again today, we did not think it was funny at all. We could tell others did not get our humor when we read the comments again. In that same post, we had also satirically asked for the resignation of an excellent local party chairman. In retrospect, our attempt at satire totally missed its mark with our readers. So, violating the blogging rules, we have deleted that one post. We apologize if we were misunderstood. We will let Roger Ailes do the Osama jokes from now on. Speaking of Osama, we hope our brave troops find that scumbag soon, if he is still alive (Leader Reid was told he might of died in an earthquake). Maybe we should be out of Iraq, but for sure we have to win the war on terror. And we hope our troops get the medical care they deserve. However you feel about the war, their health and welfare should be one of our top concerns.

We predicted Vice President Cheney would resign and that Condoleezza Rice would become our new vice president. We just did a search at yahoo news. Rumors are flying this weekend. The rumor is exactly what we reported would happen. Now that may or may not come to pass, but we have been seeing alot of political cartoons about the Vice President lately. We are still holding to our prediction that the next president will be Rudy Giuliani. One good thing about writing this blog, we learned how to spell Giuliani. We think the nominees will be Senator Clinton and Mayor Giuliani, with Rudy winning. Its just hard to believe, the American people will put another Clinton or Bush in the White House. Its too bad the debate in Reno did not happen. And it looks like the nominees will be decided earlier than ever, with the California primary being moved up to February 5, 2008. In fact, more than half the delegates could be decided by this time next year. So the frontrunners have the advantage, with no time for the scragglers to make it up. Its too bad money is so important, without a hundred million dollars you don't have a chance. We felt sorry for Governor Tom Vilsack, who was so successful in his life, but was unable to come up with the money to continue his run.

You have to salute all the candidates. They care about America. A run for the Presidency must be incredibly stressful. We were very proud of how Nevadans treated the candidates when they visited Carson City for the first presidental candidates forum. They were treated with with kindness and respect they deserve. Truly Nevada shined that day. Politics seems so mean at times, just look at the vitrolic Fox News debate flap. One thing about Nevada you have to like, when things get in the general election - Nevadans seem to care less about party affiliation and more about voting for the best candidate. We think whether Nevada goes blue or red in 2008, the deciding factor will be the rurals. May God help us choose the best candidate to lead our country forward in 2008.

Finally, we want to salute Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for moving up the Nevada democratic caucus to January 19, 2008. It forced the Republicans to move up their caucus as well to February 7, 2008. Its given Nevada democrats and republicans a greater say in the outcome. We hope everyone will show up at their respective caucuses and participate. Thank you Leader Reid!
