Newly Formed Nevada Caucus Commission Announces Three Debates and Two Forums

The newly established Nevada Caucus Commission under the leadership of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and other elected and non-elected officials have scheduled three presidental candidate debates and two forums to be held in Nevada prior to the Saturday, January 19, 2008 Nevada Democratic Caucus. Nevada will be the second state to weigh in, after Iowa, on who the next President will be.

Scheduled Events Are:

February 21, 2007 - Forum in Carson City sponsered by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)

March 24, 2007 - Health care forum co-sponsered by SEIU and the Center for American Progress

Mid August 2007 - Democratic Presidental candidate debate focused on Western regional issues to be held in Reno

November 2, 2007 - Democratic Presidental candidate debate sponsored by the Nevada State Democratic Party to be held at UNLV in Las Vegas

January 15, 2008 - Democratic Presidental debate co-sponsored by the Caucus of African American Nevadans and Impacto, the political arm of the Latin Chamber of Commerce in Las Vegas

Douglas County Dinner with Richardson and Clark Coming Up January 27

Nevadans will be able to meet presidental possibles Governor Bill Richardson and General Wesley K. Clark (RET) in Minden, Saturday, January 27, 2007 at a dinner put on by the Douglas County Central Committee. Cocktails and dinner are $60.00, with the event beginning at 6 p.m. in the Shannon Ballroom at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. The event is billed as the third annual "Turn Nevada Blue Dinner."
