After Months of Careful Study, The Next President Visits Nevada Endorses...

After studying all the candidates, republican and democrat.....this humble blogger is ready to endorse one individual - the person we think is the best person of the field to lead our country forward. After months of thoughtful study, we are surprised at our decision. Its not a person you would think a life long democrat would pick. My first vote for President was George McGovern. I sure in the hell did not vote for W. W has spent like a drunken sailor. Its time now for a period of fiscal conservatism like we saw in the Bill Clinton era. But we don't need another Clinton, or another Bush for that matter. We need a new face, a leader with the experience to reform our bloated government. When the lowly FBI agent warned Headquarters about the pilot that did not want to learn how to land...they told her to get off the case. Then when 9/11 happened W. reorganized the government....only to compound the waste and mismanagement.

Our pick is one quirky individual, we admit it. We are confused on some of his stands, like abortion. He is against medical marijuana, which is in the Nevada state constitution, as is the right of a woman to choose an abortion or not. We get visions of him going through our Nevada state constitution, ripping out pages he does not like. In Elko he said he supported states rights, we hope he sticks with that stand. There is nothing wrong with federalism, we are a republic and its the way of the Founding Fathers. He claims to not like the French a lot, but can speak French fluently and has lived in Paris. He is a self made man, who likes Ramblers. I remember my 1959 Rambler Super, it had a reliable engine, but the right wheel collapsed on it, luckily when pulling into a driveway. They did not have a lot of creature comforts. But the heater worked.

The guy we like has a great family. Too bad one of his sons is not in the Marines and served a couple tours of duty in Iraq. We can't have everything in our favorite candidate. I get visions though of this guy in New Orleans, as our president, saving lives on his wave runner. Yes, he and his sons have several "saves" to their credit, rescuing boaters whose boat sank and kayakers. The guy is quirky, but decent and sober. After one of his business associates 14 year old daughter became missing in New York, this guy ordered the office shut down. Everyone traveled to New York and put up flyers. After seeing a flyer, a scumbag who had been feeding her ecstasy called for a reward. Luckily they saved her in time. Another day the cops said and she might of died. Another "save" for his credit.

You probably have figured out by now who we are talking about. The man who saved the Salt Lake City Olympics. He is an ex governor of Massachusetts. A Mormon. His favorite novel is "Battlefield Earth" by L. Ron Hubbard. We told you he was quirky. But America needs a leader who can make our government efficient. He has that experience. He was a management consultant, who saved his own company. He met a payroll. He turned around Staples. He did a good job of running a major state. He is a decent guy, who likes to tell jokes. So does W. for that matter, but with W., sometimes I think the joke is on us.

I liked Albert Gore, Jr. But its obvious he will not run. The Bush clan stole the election from him in Florida. We have had the Bushes and Clintons in there since 1989. Enough already. Mitt is not a Yalie and we cannot see him frolicking at the Bohemian Grove worshiping an owl with the elitists. He is a man of faith. Mitt is our choice for the next president of the United States. I guess I should see if I can change party affiliation to support Mitt on Saturday, January 19, 2008. At least I have something to say when I get another call from the Clinton, Obama or Richardson volunteers. I will tell them I am for Willard. Willard who?, they will ask. Willard Mitt Romney, thats who.
