Flip Flop Romney on Medical Marijuana, Abortion, Brothels and Fiscal Responsibility

Book him Dano:

I don't think Governor Romney would want this man arrested, do you?
I wish he would of just told the guy that. At one time I thought Governor Romney might of made a good president, but his flip-flopping is very troublesome; an example is abortion. Once pro-choice, he is now pro-life. He has supported the Republican platform calling for a constitutional amendment against abortion and then has went to Elko and said its a states rights issue. Confusing. In Nevada we have voted twice for medical marijuana. We also voted twice to protect the womans right to an abortion. Both these positions are enshrined in our state constitution. We don't think Mitt is very strong on states rights. He calls himself a conservative, but acts like a big government guy - someone who would shove his moral values down the throat of the whole country. We are a republic with a federal system, each state with its own constitution which a true conservative should respect, not trash. He would probably want us to outlaw the brothels in the state (brothels are illegal in Reno and Las Vegas). But Romney would be uniquely qualified to eliminate waste and duplication in government, which was one of Clinton's strong points. Clinton reduced the growth in the federal government in terms of employees and red tape. The next president must continue this effort and address entitlement programs and the federal deficit. Gov. Romney would be good in this department. But Mitt Romney is coming across now as not only a flip flopper but phony as well, pandering to his audience of the moment. As an example, I have seen him denigrate France to an audience. To hear him talk you would be surprised to know he lived in France for over two years and speaks the language fluently with a Parisian accent. Mitt would make a great next door neighbor, but now more than ever, we need a real president, not a phony.
